Geekvape’s Zhuhai Qisi Intelligent Industrial Park Was Awarded LEED Platinum Certification

By admin

In March 2024, Geekvape-owned Zhuhai Qisi Intelligent Industrial Park was awarded the highest level certification—Platinum by the world’s most renowned green building rating system, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) v4 ID+C: Commercial Interiors. This landmark project has become the first in Zhuhai to receive the LEED ID+C: Commercial Interiors Platinum certification. Moreover, it is the first project in the domestic vaping industry to be honored with the LEED Platinum certification. It is also the first project among self-built industrial parks in the global vaping industry to achieve this distinguished LEED Platinum certification.

Zhuhai Qisi Intelligent Industrial Park

Zhuhai Qisi Intelligent Industrial Park is located in the High-tech Zone of Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, covering a total construction area of about 220,000 square meters. It is divided into three major parts: integrated offices, production areas, and living areas, forming an industrial complex that integrates "production, education, research, residential, and office" functions into one entity.
The LEED certification process for this project was conducted through a comprehensive and objective assessment of the office area of Zhuhai Qisi Intelligent Industrial Park across eight dimensions: integrative process, location and transportation, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality, innovation in design, and regional priority. Ultimately, the project achieved the Platinum certification level according to the LEED rating system. This certification highlights the park's exceptional pursuit of environmental protection, energy efficiency, and healthy living conditions. Moving forward, Zhuhai Qisi Intelligent Industrial Park will continue to strive in multiple aspects to practice the concepts of environmental protection, low-carbon and energy-saving, in order to promote sustainable development.

LEED Platinum Certification

What is LEED?

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the world’s most widely used and recognized green building rating system. It has been applied to over 170,000 projects across 185 countries and regions. Developed in 1998 by the non-profit U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED is a rating system for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of green buildings, homes, and communities, aiming to promote sustainable development socially, environmentally, and economically.
The LEED rating system categorizes certification into four levels based on cumulative points: Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Platinum is the highest level of LEED certification and the most challenging to achieve, often regarded as the "Oscar" of the global green building industry.
